MOSCOW, Apr 2 (PRIME) -- Exports of some food and grains, including buckwheat, rice, and sunflower seeds, from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will be banned from April 12, as seen by PRIME in the materials of the Eurasian Economic Commission on Thursday.
“The decision comes in force 10 calendar days after its publishing date,” the commission said in the document. A representative of the commission told PRIME that the ban will come in force on April 12.
On Tuesday, the commission said it decided to ban exports of buckwheat, rye, rice, sunflower seeds, onions, garlic, millet, sunflower seeds, soybeans, and ready-made buckwheat products until June 30.
The EAEU comprises Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
